Iron Ball 2024 Olympics. A hexagonal, polished chunk of iron taken from the iconic landmark is being embedded in each gold, silver and bronze medal that will be hung around athletes’ necks. The mysterious torchbearer that appeared in a hooded, masked costume was inspired by a number of characters from french culture:

On each medal, original iron from the eiffel tower was cut into a hexagon, the geometric shape that evokes france to the point of becoming its nickname. The paris olympic games will include 28 returning sports and 4 new additions.
